Visa Information

Citizens from over 50 countries are not required to apply for a visa in advance to enter the United Arab Emirates. This will allow them to board their flights and proceed to immigration, where their passports will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge. Meanwhile, citizens of other countries can get a 90-day multiple entry visit visa, free of charge. A list of eligible countries is available from the conference website.

GCC citizens do not need a visa to enter the UAE and GCC residents who are not GCC nationals but have a high professional status are eligible for a non-renewable 30-day visa upon arrival at the approved ports of entry. WONCA 2020 delegates of nationalities that are excluded from the two lists can secure a visa through travel agents, the UAE consulate, selected airlines, or the WONCA 2020 conference secretariat. The secretariat can also issue a visa invitation letter to registered and paid delegates. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months prior to the date of entry into the UAE. Since the list may vary from time to time, it is therefore advisable to check with the airline you are flying with or the UAE embassy before traveling to the UAE.
